Remanufactured Engines
Unless noted, rebuilt base engines include rebuilt block with installed cylinder head,
valve cover, front cover, oil pump, oil pan, and water pump. Ford diesel engines do not
include fuel injection pumps or injectors. All prices are quoted FOB Kansas City, and the
core charge will be added to the invoice. See below for the KCPP rebuilt engine warranty

Rebuilt Engine Core Policy
Core credit is subject to inspection and acceptance by Kansas City Power Products. All
cores must be returned freight prepaid. Core credit will be issued only on like and
assembled engine cores. The cores must not have visible holes in the block or head, and
the crankshaft must be able to rotate two revolutions (720 degrees) and turn the internal
parts. Credits will be reduced or disallowed for non-operational damage such as fire,
rust, handling or outside storage, with reductions for cores with broken, cracked or
welded blocks, heads or crankshafts. Used crankcase oil to be removed prior to core
return.
Rebuilt Engine Limited Warranty Statement
Kansas City Power Products warrants rebuilt base replacement engines to be free of
defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase.
This warranty is not transferable to subsequent owners.
If you have a problem with the engine, call Kansas City Power Products at (800)
486-5277. Do not disassemble the engine. PRIOR APPROVAL MUST BE GIVEN BEFORE ANY REPAIR
WORK IS PERFORMED. Maximum labor allowance is five hours to remove defective engine and to
re-install engine after repair (includes time for packaging for shipment) and requires
prior approval. This limited warranty does not cover travel time, towing charges,
telephone calls, loss of time or equipment, inconvenience, commercial loss, or
consequential damage. The engine is warranted for normal use only, and excludes, in KCPP's
sole judgment, failures due to abuse, damage in accident, modifications or parts not
furnished with the engine. In no case will warranty credits exceed the purchase price of
the engine.
Exclusions and Limitations
This limited warranty does not cover damage due to the following:
- Improper installation.
- Lack of lubrication.
- Incorrect use of antifreeze or other fluids.
- Use of starting agents.
- Overspeeding or abnormal use of an engine for purposes other than those for which it was
designed, or a change from the original application.
- Damage to pistons, piston rings, or other engine components from detonation or
pre-ignition. With the Ford LRG425 carbureted model rebuilt engine in JLG applications,
dealers are responsible for verifying use of the correct Electronic Control Module (ECM)
before installing the replacement engine.
- Applications using propane unless engine has been specified as being approved for its
use. Use of any fuel type for which the engine has not been approved.
Kansas City Power Products will repair or replace, at its option, parts proved to be
defective in materials or workmanship during the warranty time period. Any parts replaced
under warranty will be considered as part of the original product and any warranty on
those parts will expire coincident with the original product warranty.
